CASD-Australia is a non-profit organization that seeks to improve the living standards of rural Nepal through the implementation of programs in rural, undeserved areas around Nepal in order to improve quality of health, education and the empowerment of women. CASD operates on the belief that change can start with a little help and support where it is needed most.

We are part of a global network of not for profit organisations (including CASD-USA, CASD-New Zealand and CASD-France) formed to provide support and aid to CASD-Nepal.

CASD-Nepal was founded in 2013 by a group of committed Nepal natives whose direct connections within the local communities allow it to establish an efficient and effective operation under which native and international ambassadors work together to accomplish goals.

The Temporary Learning Centre program is a healing place where the principles of positive psychology, encouragement of emotional expression and implementation of uplifting activities will help children recover from the trauma they’ve experienced after the Earthquakes happening in Nepal in May 2015.

The water project aims at installing a running water system in the village of Khaireni, on the side of a Nawalparasi Hill. At the moment, the villagers in Khaireni have to walk half an hour to the nearest drinking water streams and carry the water back to their homes. This water project has detrimental consequences impacting the fields of agriculture, health and the everyday life of these thirty-two families.

After the April 25th earthquake, an Earthquake Relief and Shelter Building program was established to distribute supplies and build temporary shelters for communities in Ghusel, Lalitpur District.
